- Technical Data: Track preferences and specific infrastructure challenges you are currently solving.
2. Why We Collect This Data
We process your personal information based on your explicit consent and our legitimate interest in hosting a focused, high-signal event. We use the data to:
- Review and approve registration requests to maintain a practitioner-first audience.
- Generate and issue your custom, downloadable conference pass.
- Send crucial event updates, links, and streaming platform credentials.
- Anonymize and aggregate track preferences to optimize scheduling and session topics.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely. We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal data.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. For event backups, registration data is securely piped to Google Forms and stored in encrypted spreadsheet archives.
4. Sponsor Data Sharing
InfraConf Africa is completely free to attend for all virtual participants because of our partners. We do not share your contact details or application data with sponsors unless you explicitly opt-in (e.g. by scanning a sponsor badge, requesting prospectus follow-ups, or choosing to share details during specific workshops).
5. Your Rights (GDPR & NDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), you have clear rights regarding your personal data:
